FASTING AND ABSTINENCE

Fasting: is required on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday for those between the ages of 18 and 60. Only one full meatless meal is allowed. Two other small, meatless meals may be taken, if needed, but should not equal a full meal. No eating between meals, but liquids including milk and juices are allowed.
Abstinence: is required on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent. It is compulsory for all over the age of 14. On these days, no meat is allowed.
